Guide To SBA Papers Marking Process 2025

Marking of school-based assessment papers for all grades from 3 to 8 will be done at the Markaz level in the different schools under the supervision of assistant education officers (AEO). The school education department has recently issued the instructions that SBA papers will be marked in different schools.

For example, if school A papers will be marked in the school, school B papers will be marked in school A. Each teacher of the specific subject will mark the paper according to their subject specialty. If a teacher’s qualification is an M.Sc. in Mathematics, they will mark the papers in Mathematics.

After marking the papers, results will be finalized by the teachers at the school level and will be submitted to the head teacher of the school. Then a head teacher/headmaster will issue instructions to each class in charge to create a report card with obtained marks and other necessary information for each student.

After completing the report cards The head teacher of the school will review the report cards and will give remarks with school stamps. Then report cards will be distributed to the students of each class from 3 to 8. Parents of the students will be informed through phone calls about the result of the SBA examination.

Remember that grade 1 to 2 papers are oral, and teachers will assess their study progress by using the oral method.

Teachers of each class are instructed the Punjab examination commission that report cards should be printed in color copy and on the result day provide a one color copy of report card to each student.
