New Grading System Introduced For Matric and Intermediate
Pakistan has introduced a new grading system for Matric (9th & 10th) and Intermediate (11th & 12th) exams in Punjab, Sindh, Federal and KPK Boards of education. Instead of marks, students will now be graded using letter grades and Grade Point Average (GPA).
New Grading System Key Points:
- Passing marks have increased from 33% to 40%.
- Instead of “Fail,” students will receive a “U” (Unsatisfactory) grade.
- In 2025, 9th and 11th-grade students will start receiving grades instead of marks.
- In 2026, this system will apply to 10th and 12th grades as well.
