School Education Department of Punjab is going to conduct the School Based Assessment (SBA) papers 2026 from 10th March 2026 in all Govt and PEF partner private schools. These assessment papers will be conducted by the Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) for Grades 1 to 8. These PEC SBA papers are compulsory for the students and students will be promoted to the next class on the basis of these assessment results.
Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) will release an updated item bank for SBA Final Term 2026 with exam papers for classes 1 to 8 in both Urdu and English mediums. These papers will include answer keys to help students check their examination preparation. It’s recommended that students solve these School-Based Assessment (SBA) 2026 papers before their final exams, as they cover the full syllabus from the Punjab Textbook Board under the Single National Curriculum.

Final Term Paper Composition For SBA 2026 Outlines
For Grades I and II, the exams will be oral. From Grade III onwards, the exams will follow a written format consisting of five sections: Fill in the Blanks, True/False, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Column Matching, and Short Questions. Each section will have five questions, and students are required to answer four questions per section, making a total of 20 questions.
The total marks for each subject will be 100, with each question carrying 5 marks. However, for Nazra Quran Majeed, the total marks will be 50. The subjects covered for Grades 1 to 8 include English, Urdu, Mathematics, General Knowledge/Science, and Islamiyat/Ethics. For Grades 4 to 8, Social Studies (SST) or History & Geography (H&G) will be included. Additionally, students in Grades 6 to 8 will have Computer Science and Tarjuma-ul-Quran Majeed as part of their curriculum. Nazra Quran Majeed will be taught and assessed from Grades 1 to 5.
