Punjab examination commission has issued End of Year School-Based Assessment (SBA) 2025 schedule. According to the schedule PEC SBA examination will start form 10th March 2025 in all Govt and Private schools of Punjab. Grade 1 to 8 students will attempt this examination. Students of grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 can download the Model papers and practice papers for the preparation of upcoming final term examination.
Exam Timings
- Morning Shift: 10:00 AM – 01:00 PM (Friday: 09:00 AM – 12:00 Noon)
- Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
School which have afternoon classes will conduct the SBA examination in two groups. First group will attempt the papers in morning shift from 10am to 1pm. and the 2nd group will attempt these papers from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM.

School heads and teachers can generate the SBA final term papers 2025 from 3rd March 2025 using their personal user name and password issued by the PEC officials. There are multiple versions of papers for each subject from version A to H in Urdu and English medium.

SOPs for Annual School-Based Assessment (SBA) 2025 in Schools:
- The Item Bank will be uploaded to the Item Bank System (IBS) on March 3, 2025.
- The Annual SBA 2025 is designed based on the curriculum and Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) provided in the academic calendar.
- All question papers will be bilingual (in two languages), except for the following subjects: English, Urdu, Quran Translation, and Ethics. However, schools can choose whether to prepare other subject papers in English or Urdu.
- Each school will log in to the Item Bank System (IBS) to generate its own question papers. The papers will include a scannable QR code that contains the school’s complete details and EMIS code.
- For Grades 3 to 8, each subject’s system-generated question paper will have two pages with a scannable QR code. Marking will follow the answer keys and rubrics generated by IBS.
- For Grades 1 and 2, all assessments will be oral, divided into five (5) parts, each worth 20 marks. However, for Urdu and English, there will be one written question to assess writing skills. For Grades 1 and 2, a color-printed copy of each subject’s assessment (four pages) will be provided only for teachers.
- For English and Urdu, listening, speaking, and reading skills will be assessed on separate days. Questions to assess these skills are provided in the rubrics.
